A new combined method of compensation for harmonic components of current generated by the doubly-fed induction machine (DFIM) has been developed, which consists in combining the compensatory effects of the DFIM and the semiconductor converter in the rotor on improving the quality of the generated electric power and allows to fulfill the requirements of providing electromagnetic power in the point of common coupling. Using the p-q-r instantaneous power theory and taking into account the topological differences between three-phase three-wire and four-wire systems, a strategy for calculating the compensation currents of the grid converter in the rotor of the DFIM is developed. Developed control methods of semiconductor converter in the rotor of the DFIM with the functions of shunt active filtering have found practical application in the creation of DFIM prototypes. The R&D results are used at the KP "Zdolbunivodokanal" as part of the development of control algorithms for power converters. The results of the work can significantly improve the quality of the current consumed by power semiconductor converters from the power supply (THDi nonlinear distortion factor not more than 8%).
