Three different types of prototypes of laser aerosol counters have been created, among which one has no analogues in the global aerosol instrument engineering (the device is patented in Ukraine). All developed aerosol meters have passed field tests to determine the concentration of aerosol air pollution in various regions of Odessa. For metrological support of the functioning of devices, prototypes of laboratory stands were created for calibration of devices with aerosols with known parameters (mass and numerical concentration, particle size distribution function, etc.). They also include particle generators based on well-known and original physical principles. In the future, the modernization of the developed meters will solve the problem of remote determination of aerosol pollution of air at a given point where the device is located, with the transmission of information over the Internet or local network. The creation of a network of atmospheric dust counters, for example, in cities, will allow everyone (citizens or all residents of Ukraine) to have access to the operational environmental situation of the desired zone. Aerosol meters created by the authors of the project can be used not only in ecology, but also in the physics of aerodispersion systems, meteorology, medicine and various technological processes.
