The purpose of the work is the complex regulation of the intercellular communication system of Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains using derivatives of 2-heptyl-3-hydroxy-4-quinolones. Research methods - microbiological, chemical, biochemical, statistical. The results obtained - important theoretical and practical results were obtained in the field of microbiology, biochemistry, biotechnology. The most significant new knowledge obtained during research is the establishment of the ability of signal quinolones of pseudomonads to suppress the quorum system and the formation of superorganism structures by other grams by negative bacteria, in particular, the genera Salmonella and Proteus. Gram-positive bacteria are insensitive to signal quinolone and its synthetic analogues. It was first established that exogenous PQS and its synthetic analogues affect P. aeruginosa strains with different levels of cyclic diguanosine monophosphate differently. The results obtained during the implementation of the project tasks deepen the idea of ??the interspecific interaction of bacteria at the level of the quorum sensing system. The possibility of positive regulation by new analogs of signal quinolones of the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites of P. aeruginosa: a biosurfactant and pyocyanin is scientifically substantiated and experimentally proved. Recommendations on the practical application of work results have been developed.
