The composition of the microbial cenoses of technogenic substrates is determined. It depends on the pH values and the shelf life of the waste. 31 strains assigned to A. ferrooxidans, that was confirmed by PCR, were isolated in pure culture. It was shown that phenotypic and genotypic polymorphism of strains depends on the physicochemical characteristics of the sources. Fast-growing and highly active A. ferrooxidans strains were obtained. They are able to use new technogenic substrates as an energy source and extract metals from them. A collection of unique A ferrooxidans strains, that are not exist in the world famous databases, has been created and maintained. A model, that allow to simulate the conditions of existence of A.ferrooxidans in technogenic ecosystems, was created using methods of statistical and regression analyzes.
