This is done on the basis of comprehensive studies of the biological and physico-chemical properties of coal, the study of the indigenous consortium and the isolation of strains of pure cultures of microorganisms to create a unified bacterial preparation; establishing and working out the optimal modes and ways of intensifying the stages of biotechnology. The result of the work was the creation of technological regulations for the application of the biotechnological method for the treatment of domestic coal for the purpose of desulfurization and extraction of germanium, which was approved and passed successful tests in the existing enterprise. It is established that the content of sulfur in the coal after treatment is reduced by at least 40%, along with the solution is extracted 65-70% of germanium. This improves important technical indicators of coal: ash decreases by 15-20%, specific heat of combustion increases by 10-15%.
