In order to study the impact of the control system on the frequency change, digital models of devices for automatic frequency starting of units at hydraulic and pump-storage power plants have been developed, which allows to evaluate the nature of the frequency change after the operation of UFLS relays. The models of frequency limitation automation have been created to take into account the operation of emergency control systems in case of the frequency increasing. In order to carry out complex studies of the frequency modes, the complex model of the Ukraine IPS has been improved by taking into account the developed digital models and corresponding computational studies have been carried out under power system operation conditions. The main research findings were used to create a Frequency Mode Database under the isolated operation of the Ukraine IPS. Verification of the efficiency of the created Database is confirmed by the protocol of joint tests, which were conducted by specialists of the Institute of Electrodynamics of NAS of Ukraine and LLC "DMCC-Engineering". The data obtained is used by NPC Ukrenergo and consortium of European System Operators, which is exploring the process of integration of the Ukrainian IPS with ENTSO-E. The certificate of registration of the copyright for the product "Database of frequency modes in the conditions of isolated operation of the Ukraine IPS" was obtained.
