The purpose of the study is the publication of new information, analytical materials on the development of the national pedagogy and education in various periods of the Ukrainian statehood existence for their scientific understanding and implementation in an active scientific and information circulation. In the course of the study, the source and historiographic bases were analysed and the term system for the problems of scientific research was characterized. The criteria for the selection of documents and texts on the problems of educational reform in independent Ukraine were developed. Conceptual documents - doctrines, concepts, projects, programs -were classified, systematized, and holistically presented in relation to the development of national education and upbringing in Ukraine during its independence period of 1991-2017. The field documentary resource from the rare publications fund of V. O. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine "Periodicals 1917-1945" was analysed in order to identify the publications about education. Criteria for selecting documents from the collection of rare editions of the library were defined, their contents were disclosed and factual information about the editorial boards, places of publication, frequency, etc., was provided. Scientific and informational support for the main categories of users of documentary resources from the collection of rare publications of the library was carried out and their contents were disclosed by creating scientific annotations in the electronic resource of the "Rare books" database. Scientific and informational support was provided for the national-patriotic education of children and youth in Ukraine through the preparation and publication of bibliographic products. The system of knowledge about various kinds of information materials on national-patriotic education in Independent Ukraine was improved. The achievements of domestic and foreign pedagogical and psychological sciences and education were reflected through the publication of the information about prominent persons, both Ukrainian and foreign through the information and bibliographic resource "Outstanding Educators of Ukraine and the World". For the first time, a hypothesis was put forward on the creation of a new direction of domestic pedagogical science - the creation by Ukrainian scientists of conceptual texts on theoretical and methodological foundations and directions of development of children and youth education and upbringing in Independent Ukraine. A tendency towards the construction by Ukrainian scientists of a holistic theory of national education of children and youth in Ukraine was identified. The tendency towards re-innovation approaches in the coverage and use of historical experience in theoretical and practical activities was revealed. Product Description popup.authors Іващенко В. М.
