The following have been experimentally studied: stability, composition and structure of nano-oils, nano-refrigerants and model nanofluids; thermophysical properties of nano-oils, nano-refrigerants and model nanofluids; internal boiling characteristics and heat transfer coefficient during boiling of nano-refrigerants on surfaces with varying degrees of wetting. The technology for creating working nanofluids for compression refrigeration machines has been improved and practical recommendations have been developed for the preparation of stable working fluids based on nanofluids. Experimental information was obtained on the dependence of the energy efficiency indices of vapor compression chillers and the heat transfer coefficient in evaporators on factors such as nanofluid stability, the concentration and nature of nanoparticles, and the interaction of nanoparticles with the surface. A thermophysical model has been developed to predict the heat transfer coefficient during the boiling of nanofluids.
