Pharmacoinformatics has been improved and innovations in health care practiced through the creation and operation of the Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University Scientific and Advisory Center for Pharmaceutical Care and Innovation in Healthcare. The attitude of medical students to the use of medicines as a problem of irresponsible self-medication is scientifically substantiated. Clinical-pharmaceutical approaches to minimizing the risk of Stevens-Johnson and Lyell syndromes are scientifically substantiated. Principal approaches to addressing drug-related problems have been scientifically substantiated and elaborated for the first time, their effect on the efficacy, safety and quality of pharmacotherapy of acute migraine attack, acute viral hepatitis B, community-acquired pneumonia, and patients of the cardiological and traumatological profile were determined. The main components of pharmaceutical care in pharmacotherapy in gynecological, ophthalmic, cardiological practice, patients with lumbar pain, and nutrition focused on physicians, medical staff and patients have been identified for the first time. For the first time, the quality of pharmaceutical care was investigated at the stage of identifying patient needs in pharmacies as a cross-border problem. Based on the results of clinical-and-economic and pharmacoeconomic analyses of prostate cancer, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, Lyell, and community-acquired pneumonia the possibility of optimizing the cost of pharmacotherapy and, consequently, ensuring its rationality, is demonstrated.
