Object of the study - patients with odonto- and periodontal pathology. The purpose of the work is a clinical and experimental substantiation of the use of the remedies and the development of methods for the prevention, therapy and rehabilitation of the patients with odontological and periodontal pathology. Research methods - clinical, paraclinical, immunological, electron microscopy, biochemical, microbiological, pharmacokinetic, biopharmaceutical, and cone-beam computed tomography. 5 978 patients were examined. The spectrum of laboratory and clinical examinations in patients with odontological, endodontic and periodontal pathology was determined. Pathogenetically directed treatment of endodontic and periodontal diseases using adequate antimicrobial, immunomodulatory, osteotropic, detoxifying, probiotic drugs etc. was first tested in the clinic. It was found that the rehabilitation of the patients with combined pathology of endodontium and periodontium is appropriate to be carried out from two to four times a year, and maintenance therapy - in accordance with the condition of the endo-periodontal complex of the affected tissues.
