The purpose of the work is to analyse the current state of development of archival affairs and record keeping based on informational monitoring for the preparation of up-to-date scientifically grounded information aimed at providing information needs of employees of archival institutions and their main activities. Research methods - general scientific research methods: classification, analysis and synthesis, informative, structural and systemic, statistical-analytical, etc. The monitoring and analysis of domestic and foreign information resources on topical issues of archival affairs and record keeping were conducted; the basic directions and results of scientific research of the URIAARK for 25 years and foreign experience of managing electronic documents and their archival storage have been researched and analysed. Two issues of the Bulletin of the Branch Centre for Scientific and Technical Information on Archival Affairs and Record Keeping were prepared. The results of the research will contribute to the effective informational support of the main activities of the archival institutions of Ukraine, their scientific and methodological work, scientific research in the field of archival affairs and record keeping, implementation of their results in practical activity, completion of state programs in the field of archival affairs and record keeping. The materials of the research will be used in the practical, research and methodical work of archival workers, higher educational establishments, scientific institutions. Issues of the Centre Bulletin containing analytical, reviewing, overviewing, bibliographic information on the development of archival affairs and records keeping, in particular on the main directions and results of scientific research of the URIAARK for 25 years and foreign experience in managing electronic records and their archival preservation have been prepared.
