The object of research is thermal processes caused by a fire in the tank farm. The subject of research is the influence of the dynamics of thermal processes caused by a fire in the tank farm on the thermal state of oil products in the middle of the tanks. Relevance of the topic. Tank farms are the main storage facilities for crude oil and petroleum products at refineries, transshipment and distribution stations, oil depots, and enterprises in automobile, rail, water and air transport. The accumulation of flammable and combustible liquids in a relatively small area of the tank farm causes an increase in the fire hazard of these objects. The bottling and ignition of petroleum products is one of the most dangerous fires in terms of fire fighting. Often fires in tank farms lead to the death of people, cause great harm to the environment and lead to significant material losses. Every fourth such fire develops into a group fire and ends with a complete burnout of the oil product. The aim of the work is to study the dynamics of thermal processes and their influence on the integrity of vertical steel tanks in a fire in a tank farm. A mathematical model has been developed to determine the dynamics of thermal processes and their effect on reservoirs. The value of the heat flux caused by the fire in the tank farm, which acts on the tanks depending on the speed and direction of the wind, flame temperature, geometric dimensions of the tanks and the distance between them, is determined.
