The basic directions of strategic planning in industry are considered, namely - at modernization and updating of industrial production in the conditions of the market and external and internal challenges. In particular the questions of importance of modernization and introduction of industrial production are considered. effectiveness of innovative projects of different levels, approaches to improving the level of competitiveness, basics of transfer pricing, resource issues non - material, financial issues of providing innovations, determining the risks of the project and ways to reduce them. In the process of solving the problem such methods of scientific researches as the comparative method, methods of economic analysis, mathematical statistics, probable approaches were used. The scientific novelty and difference of the proposed approach is a systematic approach, namely an attempt to consider and establish relationships between individual areas of methodical and practical work in solving systemic problems of updating, modernizing and creating new highly efficient enterprises. The developed recommendations and methodological approaches for the construction of the system of measures will provide an opportunity for managers and managers of domestic enterprises to plan and implement strategic plans of restructuring, updating, modernization of production in modern conditions.
