The purpose of the study is to investigate the mode and design parameters of the combined contact device. Research methods. In carrying out the work involved modern physical and physico-chemical methods of analysis. The physical experiment was conducted through experimental studies of hydrodynamic and mass transfer characteristics on a laboratory model with a contact device. In the course of the experimental studies, the methods of visual observation of the behavior of the gas-liquid system inside the contact device, the determination of the hydrodynamic characteristics of gas and liquid by the methods of instrumental measurements, the methods of physico-chemical analysis for the qualitative and quantitative composition of mixtures were used. Graphical interpretation and statistical processing of research results were performed using mathematical statistics methods. Research results. The design of the combined contact device consisting of a failure plate and a regular leaf nozzle has been experimentally substantiated and developed. The existence of different zones of the gas-liquid system are revealed and investigated: gas flow disruption, gas-liquid phase turbulence in the nozzle during twisting and swirling of the gas-liquid layer, homogeneous highly turbulent foam, splashes in the combined contact device. The hydraulic resistance of the combined contact device in a wide range of load phases and design parameters is investigated. Limit loads and areas of operation of the combined contact device are determined. Correlation dependence is revealed which allows to calculate hydraulic resistance and total fluid reference of the combined contact device according to different operating parameters. Areas of work and design characteristics of the combined contact device are defined. Field of use.
