Coating with a TiN film (texture 111) and additional irradiation with argon ions with an energy of ~ 300 keV and a dose of 4 × 10^17 cm-2 increase the high-voltage breakdown voltage by almost 35% as compared to pure copper. The model of a potential barrier of a metal with an additional near-surface dipole layer is suggested.
