Research methods are based on modern design models and statistical analysis of noise signals that accompany the operation of elements of thermal power equipment; investigating the possibility of using more complete informative characteristics, including moments of higher orders and laws of distribution of noise signals, and analyzing methods of their statistical determination; the possibility of applying magnetostrictive effect for the development of new sensory measuring elements is investigated. Result of research and development - scientific bases, methods, information support, measuring technologies of diagnostics of the responsible elements of thermal power equipment are developed, in particular, the model of the system of noise diagnostics of the thermal power equipment is created, the experimental verification of the system is carried out and the recommendations for carrying out the diagnostics of the responsible elements of the heating power are developed. The results of the work were applied at enterprises of different ownership for non-destructive testing of thermal power facilities, for modernization of existing ultrasonic control systems and development of new systems with increased likelihood of control, determination of thermophysical characteristics of materials and quality control of different types of fuels.
