Typical forms of NmF2 and hmF2 diurnal dependencies were obtained, which were obtained according to the data of the Kharkiv incoherent scatter radar and ionosonde, as well as on the basis of median diurnal variations according to the model of global distribution of concentration, temperature and effective frequency of collisions of electrons (GOST 25645.146-89). An updated computer version of the CERIM IION regional model of ionosphere is presented. Recommendations for using a computer version of the CERIM IION regional ionosphere model to calculate diurnal variations in electron concentration in the maximum of the F2 ionosphere layer (NmF2), the critical frequency of the F2 layer (foF2), and the maximum height of the F2 ionosphere layer (hmF).
