The insect population of Osmia bicornis, Hylaeus communis, Trypoxylon sp., from artificial nests was very high, accounting for 98%. The frequency of insect settlement in reed tubes is related to their morphometric parameters. It was found that the diameter of the tube and its length correlate positively with the number of larvae of Osmia (the correlation coefficient is 0.44 and 0.48, respectively). The wasps of the genus Trypoxylon inhabited nests exclusively with a diameter of 0.5-0.7 cm, directly depending on the length of the nest (r = 0.56). The most common nidicols were the fruit fly Cacoxenus indagator and the mite Chaetodactylus osmiae, which feed on the pollen supply of bee larvae, resulting in the death of brood. The flies-pollinophages were found in 46 % of the nests, the average larvae of these flies in each cell ranged from 3 to 5 individuals, with a maximum number of 37 individuals per nest. About 5% of the nests were affected by the mite Chaetodactylus osmiae. Dead bee individuals in the late stages of development in all studied nests were 7 %. It is proposed to install the artificial nests for bees 45 × 40 × 30 cm in size and fill them with dried tubular stems at different times of the spring and summer season, which will facilitate to settle of more species.
