Purpose: to develop recommendations for the use of new nanostructured materials in innovative medicine. Research methods: vibration spectroscopy; scanning electron microscopy; x-ray luminescence; quantum-chemical modeling. The spectra of infrared absorption and Raman scattering of different samples of calcium hydroxyapatite powder were experimentally recorded. The structure of these samples was investigated by scanning electron microscopy. The spectra of X-ray fluorescence at different temperatures, as well as phosphorescence and thermosimulated luminescence, were recorded. The dependence of the structure and physical properties of hydroxyapatite on the level of hydration of the sample is revealed. Water molecules inside calcium hydroxyapatite have been shown to be in a bound state, ie they are part of hydrogen-bonded clusters. The influence of low-temperature argon matrix on isolated clusters of water is determined by the method of quantum-chemical modeling by modeling the matrix as an element of a face-centered cubic crystal, in which the corresponding number of argon atoms is substituted by several water molecules. The conformational behavior of hydrogen-bonded propanol dimers was investigated, the most probable configurations of dimers were determined, and their infrared absorption spectra calculated. New water activation techniques have been applied to increase the efficiency of flavonoid extraction from natural products.
