The mechanisms of formation of solid solutions based on complex selenides are investigated. The crystal-chemical analysis of the intermediate ternary and quartery compounds and the solid solutions based on them were performed; the change of the type of chemical bonds was studied, which made it possible to establish regularities of the "compound - crystalline structure - properties". The technological conditions for the synthesis and cultivation of quality mono- (individual compounds) and polycrystalline (solid solutions and eutectic compositions) samples for which thermoelectric and optical properties have been investigated have been developed for the first time. It has been shown that the TlInP2Se6, In4(P2Se6)3, Tl4P2Se6 compounds can be used as charge carriers in solar panels. The optimization of the compositions and methods of obtaining thermoelectric materials made it possible to identify the most promising models of the individual Tl9BiSe6 compound (ZТmax=(1.5÷3.3)×10-3 К-1), composite alloys based on solid solutions (Tl2Se)0.899(Ві2Se3)0.101 (ZТmax=2.4×10-3 К-1) and (Tl9BiSe6)0.995(Tl4SnSe4)0.005 (ZТmax=(1.9÷2.9)×10-3 К-1), eutectic compositions (SnSe2)0.55(TlBiSe2)0.45 (ZТmax=(1.5÷2.6)×10-3 К-1), (Tl4SnSe4)0.76(Tl9BiSe6)0.13(TlBiSe2)0.11 (ZТmax=1.9×10-3 К-1) and (Tl4SnSe4)0.85(Tl9BiSe6)0.15 (ZТmax=1.5×10-3 К-1) (6 patents of Ukraine No. 111241, 120279, 105409, 113556, 24333/ЗА/17, а201808806 received ), which are dominated by known chalcogenide thermoelectric materials based on Bi2Te3 and PbTe by maximum values of figure of merit.  Product Description popup.authors Barchiy Igor E.
