Substituted 5-amino-1H-imidazole-4-carbonitriles were synthesized, and new (5-imino)imidazolidin-2-one derivatives were obtained, that are of considerable interest as potentially biologically active substances. Organo-lithium compounds were received from 2-bromo-4-(1,3-dioxolan-2-yl)-1,3-thiazole, which was shown to interact with electrophiles to produce new trifunctionally substituted 1,3-thiazole derivatives. A number of new 4.7-functionally substituted representatives of pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine by the reactions of intramolecular cyclization of the condensation products of the available pyrimidine-5-carbaldehydes have been synthesized. A simple, fast and economical one-reactor method for the preparation of novel 6-aminopyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine-7-ones by reaction of 4-amino-substituted pyrimidine-5-carbaldehydes with methyl N-(4-methoxybenzylidene)glycinate is proposed. Methods of enzymatic separation using lipase Burkholderia cepacia obtained optically pure 1,2-cis- (S, R) -azidoaminocyclopentane, the catalytic hydrogenation of which provided a vicinal diaminocyclopentane. The possibility of using the α-ketophosphonate derivatives of calix[4]arene as light-controlled inhibitors of protein tyrosine phosphatases on examples of PTP1B and MEG2 was evaluated. The O-acyl-substituted vitamin B1 derivatives and isoflavone-based hybrid compounds with pyrrolopyridine fragment were studied as inhibitors of cholinesterases. The azomethine derivatives of p-aminobenzoic acid were studied as potential antioxidants and inhibitors of xanthine oxidase. The data on auxin-like activity of a number of heterocyclic compounds at the level of control of the morphology of the root system of Arabidopsis thaliana plants in vitro were obtained.
