The influence of hydrogen, which is formed during the decomposition of oil and water during friction, on the tribological behavior of contact pairs, conductor (metal) - dielectric (PEO layers synthesized on aluminum alloys) has been established. During friction interaction under friction conditions with lubrication in the friction pair of PEO, the layer on the AMG6 alloy is steel, cast iron, and on the steel contact surfaces, which form protective glass-like spinel-type films (FeAl2O4 herzenite). In the case of the PEO friction pair, the layer synthesized on the D16T - steel alloy (cast iron) realizes the phenomenon of selective transfer with the formation of glycerate films on the surface of steel or cast iron.
