P. Kumm., Sparassis Fr. from the Mushroom Culture Collection (IBK). The purpose of the work was to investigate the biological properties of Basidiomycota and Ascomycota species, included or promising for inclusion in the Red Data Book of Ukraine, and to develop recommendations for the conservation of these species in the Mushroom Culture Collection. Research methods - mycological, microbiological, physiological, electron microscopic. As a result, using the light and scanning electron microscopes, information was obtained on the structure of the vegetative stage of mycelium of 17 species studied. It is established that the variability of cultural and morphological characteristics of colonies depends on the strain and species, medium composition and temperature. The influence of nutrient composition, pH, different carbon and nitrogen sources, incubation temperature on radial growth rate and biomass accumulation was investigated. Temperature parameters, optimal and critical for the growth of the mycelium of the studied strains, were established. During the period of implementation of the topic two monographs were published, Catalog of the mushroom culture collection, 62 articles (17 of them in foreign editions), and 30 abstracts.
