A mathematical model of a plane non-stationary ventilated wall supercavity by a "thin" wedge-shaped cavitator is proposed. Criteria for obtaining drag reduction plane surface from wall supercavity were established. The drag reduction is possible if the dimensionless length of the supercavity exceeds the ratio of the cavity resistance coefficients to the drag coefficient.
