The structure consists of two adjacent vacuum channels (one for the drive bunches, the other for the accelerated bunch) bordered by dielectric slabs. The entire structure is placed in a rectangular waveguide. In the work is also investigated the tolerances for parameters of the structure that affect the value of the transformer ratio and the accelerating gradient. Using numerical simulation, we studied the excitation of wake fields and dynamics of drive relativistic electron bunches in a rectangular five-zone dielectric resonator. Two modes of excitation of the resonator by a single electron bunch, a regular sequence of bunches, were considered. As the working mode, the LM3,1,6 mode was chosen. The cavity length was chosen such that it was equal to six wavelengths LM3,1,6. We analyzed the longitudinal and transverse distribution of the components of the wake field as well as the longitudinal dynamics of the axial current component of the sequence of driver electron bunches. Due to long-term operation, some of the parts of the existing Almaz-2M electron accelerator have exhausted their resources, and the accelerator has come into inoperative condition. Throughout 2019, diagnostics of accelerating units were carried out and work on repair and restoration of its main units was determined. Testing of the accelerator showed that it can provide beam electron energies of the order of 3.6 MeV, current up to 0.8 A, current pulse duration up to 2 μs. The results of model experiments carried out on accelerating with using of chip structures with different profiles are presented. The shown possibility of using triangular structures with an angle of inclination of strokes of 30o and sinusoid structures in experiments on electron acceleration.
