The establishment of the optimum conditions of application of the polymer material based sorbents and resorcinol-formaldehyde resin for the extraction of radionuclides. popup.stage_title Head Belikov Kostyantyn M., Кандидат хімічних наук Registration Date 14-01-2020 Organization State Scientific Institution "Institute for Single Crystals" of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2  Project goal was to obtain the sorption materials based on polymers (divinylbenzene, styrene with divinylbenzene) with non-covalently attached ligands to extract Eu (Am) and transuranic elements and resorcinol-formaldehyde resins for cesium extraction. The main methods of investigation are atomic absorption spectroscopy with flame and electrothermal atomization of the sample, flame atomic emission spectroscopy, atomic emission spectrometry with inductively coupled plasma, IR spectroscopy, scanning. The study aims to develop the methods of obtaining, the optimization of the sorption properties of polymeric materials and to create on their basis domestic extraction columns for the extraction of radionuclides from the aqueous medium. There have been developed the methods for the synthesis of resorcinol-formaldehyde resin using microwave heating of the reaction mixture. The obtained materials are characterized by the values of the degree of extraction of Cesium ions of 80-90% which good for the application for the separation of radionuclide 137Cs from the aqueous medium. There have been studied the sorption properties of polymeric sorption materials with non-covalently fixed derivatives of carbamoylmethylphosphine oxides and tetraoctyldiamide of diglycolic acid. It is shown they provide high efficiency in removing Uranium and Europe from the water medium. The developed materials On the basis of the investigated materials with non-covalently attached derivatives of carbamoilmethylphosphine oxides and diglycolic acid tetraoctyldiamide, extraction columns were made to concentrate actinides and lanthanides. The experimental sample columns were transferred to the “Ecocenter” (Chernobyl) for testing on radionuclide-containing objects. Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
