Methods: neuropsychiatric, neuropsychological, ophthalmic, neurophysiological and statistical. Neurophysiological studies in clean-up workers and persons irradiated in utero confirm the presence of dysfunction of the left cortical-limbic system of the left (dominant) cerebral hemisphere with particular involvement of the hippocampus. Specific changes in the topographic parameters of the P300 component of visual cognitive potential associated with the event were identified. The analysis of psychophysiological patterns according to visual cognitive evoked potentials P300 in the clean-up workersgroup, may indicate a dysfunction of the right parahippocampal region, which is responsible for the perception and visualization of complex visual images. Significant bilateral growth of N3 latent periods with an accent in the frontal and central parietal regions was revealed. It may indicate disturbances in the structures involved in the implementation of executive functions. The persons irradiated in utero were revealed a probable increase in retinal thickness in the fovea. These changes indicate significant changes in the state of the retina in irradiated in utero.Although these changes are not yet accompanied by the visible development of macular degeneration. The analysis of the preliminary results of the examinations revealed that the pathology of the lens, macular degeneration with a much higher frequency were found among the surveyed Chernobyl clean-up workers than in other groups.
