The object is to develop and improve the management of financial resources that have been borrowed from international financial institutions in the face of new economic realities. The purpose - substantiation of theoretical and scientific-methodological foundations, development of proposals for modernization of strategic approaches to regulation of international financial cooperation of Ukraine. Research methods: generalization, observation and comparison, synthesis and analysis, statistical observations, system approach, structural analysis, comparative analysis. Results and their novelty: The current state of international financial cooperation of Ukraine is analyzed. Suggestions on ways to improve the efficiency of Ukraine's international financial cooperation are provided. It is proposed to improve the approaches to the monitoring and evaluation system of the performance of international financial institutions. Recommendations on the development of strategic guidelines for Ukraine's international financial cooperation for the medium term are prepared. Suggestions for improvement of institutional mechanisms for attracting resources of international organizations for financing projects in the field of higher education and science of Ukraine are presented. Proposals have been prepared regarding the possibilities of implementing effective approaches and practices in the further development of financial resources management of international financial institutions in Ukraine. The scientific results have practical value and can be used in the current work of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture in the preparation of regulations and program documents in the context of international financial cooperation.
