In order to develop the methodological foundations of psychological and pedagogical support for families raising children with special needs, a psycho-diagnostic study of the psychological and pedagogical difficulties of constructive interaction has been conducted, as well as the nature of the occurrence of destructive emotional experiences in such families. The determinants that influence the process of formation of family members' readiness for raising children with special needs have been identified. The content and dynamics of the family environment, burdened by the parents' experiences of ambivalent feelings towards the child, have been presented; mechanisms of pathologization of relations have been defined. Specialized nature of assistance has been tested, namely psychological support - by organizing work of psychotherapy groups for parents of children with special needs. Scientific discussions have been held, the expert opinions based on Wyższa Sszkoła Lingwistyczna w Częstochowie (Poland), Canadian NGO "Friends of the mennonites center in Ukraine" for promotion to the world project market for a family-oriented psychological and pedagogical support for a family raising a child with special needs.
