The measurements made along the entire length of the manufactured wire showed a constant of the fill factor of 0.61 ± 0.03 with a wire diameter of 2.9-3.0 mm. The use of a magnetic field can influence the geometry of welds. Dependences of the coefficient of the shape of the seam on the magnetic induction and the frequency of oscillations are established - with increasing magnetic induction the depth of penetration decreases, the width of the roller and the coefficient of the shape of the weld increase. The results of the studies showed that the combined use of PPT-22 powder coated powder wire and magnetically controlled arc at argon arc welding allows to control the shape (width and height) of welding.
