It has been established, that depending on the distance between the needles, the overlapping mode, repulsion mode or independent burning mode of streamers are implemented. The streamer wavy trace observed in experiments was reproduced by numerical simulation of streamer propagation in the discharge gap. The experimental stand to study advanced modes of gas discharge with a liquid electrode was created. When using one needle electrode over the liquid, it was found, that all processes of streamer generation, transporting and locking occur mainly in gas without using chemical elements from electrodes.
