Karazin Kharkiv National University popup.description2 Object of the research – process of radiation, interaction of electromagnetic signals with metamaterials. Aim of the work is to create an antenna-feeder system through the planar print technology using metamaterial substrate (metasurface). The system is to be compact and to have a low parasitic interaction between the patch and the ground. It is planned the system is also to be a highly directive and efficient to be able used for radar purposes. Additionally, it aims to create the numerical approaches for tuning the parameters of real-sized layered metasurfaces by irradiated electromagnetic fields. Methods of the study – the Effective Medium Theory, the Method of Mode Basis. Results of the work: in this R&D Project, in the approximation of a given surface current distribution, an analytical model of a rectangular patch antenna on composite substrate was created. The substrate is the dielectric one containing the metamaterial layer symmetrically embedded in it. The metamaterial layer is a metal wire grid consisting of parallel non-magnetic cylindrical wires of circular cross section. Analysis of the antenna characteristics was performed in the microwave frequency range. Product Description popup.authors Beloshenko Konstantin S. Bykov Viktor M. Butrym Oleksandr Yu.
