BREAKDOWN, INFORMATION NETWORK, WIRELESS LINES, AUDIO-VISUAL DATA, CODEC, VIRTUAL COMPETITION WINDOW, DOWNLOAD, DOWNLOAD, TOTAL Object of study - mechanisms for organizing a communication session for transmitting multimedia data in IEEE 802.11 wireless information networks The purpose of the work is to analyze the features of the organization of Wi-Fi networks taking into account the peculiarities of functioning that contribute to their maximum use and provision of high quality telecommunication services and to study the real operational characteristics of wireless information networks. Research Methods - Simulation of the process of transmission of information flows between stations of a wireless network under the condition of applying different mechanisms of organization of access to the channel and conditions of operation of the network of IEEE 802.11 standard. The simulation of network operation in a noisy environment is carried out, the influence of interference on the process of information flow transmission is analyzed by means of ADS (Advansed Design System) modeling. Based on the results of the performed research, the relation for determining the probabilistic parameters of the process of data transmission by means of Wi-Fi network is substantiated; mechanisms of collision occurrence in 802.11 wireless networks with competitive access to the radio channel are analyzed; A study of the real bandwidth of the IEEE 802.11n wireless information network for 20 MHz and 40 MHz radio modes. The bandwidth of the network with 2, 4 and 6 active stations operating in saturated mode was experimentally investigated; the results of the analysis of the bandwidth of the IEEE 802.11 wireless network in the RST / CST mode taking into account the collisions taking place in the networks with a large number of active stations.
