The aim of investigation: based on the volumes and compositions of various forms of accumulated in Ukraine POPs and ODS, justify the use of the best (by their environmental and economic indicators) technical solutions for the thermal disposal of POPs and ODS. The method of research: analytic calculation. The results: - the objects, volumes and forms of POPs and ODS accumulation are identified; - the methodology for optimization of technological parameters in processes of thermal destruction of concentrated and diluted POPs and ODS is determined; - it is established that the optimal method for the utilization of concentrated POPs and ODS (by the criteria of efficiency of destruction and prevention of secondary toxic compounds origin) is the use of plasma technologies; - it is established that use of technological complexes based on rotary kiln is more efficient for utilization of diluted POPs and ODS.
