In this scientific work, research in several areas, which are joint by a common subject matter – renewable and alternative energy technologies, were conducted, namely: - development of a burner for burning chipped corn stalks; - further research of the technology of anaerobic digestion of plant residues, which is a by-product of agriculture, the potential and methods of digestion of the organic part of solid household waste; - implementation of a comprehensive energy and environmental analysis of the introduction of technologies for the production of heat and electricity from solid biomass, from specially grown perennial energy crops, as well as technologies for the production of biogas from waste and agricultural products; - research of the methods of utilization of ash from the burning of solid biofuels, determination of the preconditions for wider involvement of agricultural by-products for energy use; - improvement of the methodological base of the greenhouse gas emission accounting system, calculation of the potential and cost of emission reductions in the energy complex of Ukraine, including the introduction of renewable energy sources.
