A refined mathematical model has been developed for performing typical tasks of remote observation using thermal imaging systems in the conditions of noise backgrounds on different types of tracks. It makes it possible to evaluate the effectiveness of search, recognition and identification of ground and air objects of different sizes. The developed methods differ from analogues in that they allow you to analyze, synthesize and optimize both single-channel and multi-channel thermal imaging systems. Methods of laboratory studies of the effectiveness of remote observations in the infrared range of the spectrum are developed. They use the available in Ukraine elemental base and provide high metrological characteristics, in particular, the dynamic range is expanded 2.5 times.
