The subject of research is the representation, integration and recontextualization of Western European discourses in the domestic humanitarian space. The purpose of the project is to investigate latent Western European traditions that functioned in the field of officially-legitimized ideology that prevailed in the humanities of Soviet Ukraine. The results of the implementation of Stage I: collected and classified by certain criteria an array of scientific literature on the subject (more than 15 thousand bibliographic sources) available in the holdings of the National Library of Ukraine named after VI Vernadsky; formulated theoretical foundations of methodology for the study of Western European discourses in Ukrainian humanities; it is shown that the concept of reception study can serve as a methodological tool for the study of Western European discourses; peculiarities of translation of psychoanalytic discourse in Soviet humanities 1960-1980 are analyzed. Scientific novelty: a range of institutions has been identified that is representative of the study of the humanitarian space of the Soviet era; partially described and analyzed source of the study; the concept of "reception study" as a methodological program for the study of the ways of broadcasting Western European humanitarian discourses in the domestic humanitarian space of the Soviet era is outlined; the controversial concept of "Soviet philosophy" is refined in traditional historical and philosophical studios; The decisive role of the linguistic factor in the process of reception of psychoanalytic theory and in its interpretation in officially legitimized discourse is demonstrated.
