To study clinical and pathogenetic mechanisms of formation of hereditary predisposition to MS on the model of familial forms. To study the influence of pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period on further progression of MS. To assess the risk of developing a demyelinating process in children born to parents with MS. Questionnaire, clinical neurological, immunogenetic, biochemical, statistical and mathematical analysis. For the first time in Ukraine on the model of Kharkiv region, a register of family forms of MS. The research studies time stages of different types of disease course with indication of clinical indicators patterns different for familial and sporadic forms of MS. By means of the permutation method, researchers discovered significant differences in the course of the two forms of MS. Immunological studies have revealed differences between individual indicators of cellular and humoral immunity levels which prevailed in relapsing patients with familial MS. Connection between different levels of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines and the type of disease course was revealed for the sporadic form only. A close relationship was revealed between the prevalence of AA and AG haplotypes, the type of course, the nature of the prognosis, the EDSS disability scores for different forms of MS. It has been shown that, unlike AA haplotype, AG haplotype is more common in unfavorable prognosis and is associated with an increase in EDSS with the familial form. The relationship between the type of progression and prognosis in two forms of PC and titers to antibodies of two- and single-stranded DNA. Pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period in patients with MS exert a positive effect on the further course of the disease in women Product Description popup.authors Yegorkina Olga V.
