In this project the experimental, theoretical and modelling work was performed for measuring the mechanical properties of mentioned materials with possible application of them in the field of joining technologies. The existence of zone with low viscosity and high concentration of point defects that can facilitate the extrusion of metals was proven on the basis of the model of generation, interaction and annihilation of point defects in the zone of gradient of oscillating tensions. The device for low and high-frequency surface treatment by friction (SMAT technology) was developed. The enhancement of mechanical properties as result of grain refinement down to nanosize was explored. Technology of non-stationary electroplating of copper films was developed and applied to high-temperature joining processes in copper-tin system.
