Karazin Kharkiv National University popup.description2  Research objects: araneofauna, entomofauna, batrachofauna, herpetofauna, avifauna, and teriofauna; steppe and forest ecosystems; objects and territories of the Nature Reserve Fund of Ukraine. Research aim: analytic survey of the changes in flora, fauna and microbiota for the further development of the concept of nature conservation and sustainable ecosystem services; to make a prognosis of the environmental impact of the key factors. Novelty of the work: а) for the first time in Ukraine, acoustic diversity indices were used as indicators of forest ecosystem disturbance; b) for the first time in Ukraine, a long-term effect of the steppe fire on vegetation and arthropod assemblages is being monitored at the model plots; c) the impact of local climatic conditions on the dynamics of bird populations of the oak forests was studied for the first time in northeast Ukraine; d) for the first time, the microbiota of steppe reserves of various conservation ranks was studied; seven fungi species were described as new to science, species described in 2015 in Europe were registered in Ukraine. Results: The key factors of ecosystem biodiversity were listed; animal and fungi indicator species and assemblages were distinguished. Natural assemblages, which play a key role in maintaining optimal boidiversity level, are identified and a possibility of their use in ecosystem modeling was assessed. Chararteristic traites of species populations and assemblages, which can serve as indicators of ecosystem transformation, were described. The composition and gametogenesis characteristics of the hemiclonal population system of a hybrid complex of green frogs occurred in the study region were determined. An impact of natural and antropohenic factors (climatic changes, fire, haying, grazing, and recreation) on the assemblages of steppe arthropods and bird populations of oak forests was monitores. A complex of regulation measures directed at maintaining ecosystem traits was proposed. Product Description popup.authors Akulov Oleksandr Yu. Atemasov Andrij A. Atemasova Tetyana A.
