The life cycle models of nuclear technologies have been improved to take into account the dynamics of changes in their technical and economic parameters, which allows to determine the competitiveness of new nuclear capacities in comparison with other types of generating capacities at each etap of their implementation during the forecast horizon. In order to develop forecasts for the development of nuclear power in the conditions of replacement of existing units, the partial-integer model of long-term forecasting of the development of the power system has been improved, which takes into account the dynamics of the input-output of nuclear power units, the competitiveness and availability of new and prospective nuclear power units. Priority directions of long-term development of Ukrainian nuclear energy are identified, the main ones being the maximum use of the resource of operating nuclear power units by extending their life for 20-30 years, compensating their capacity after the decommissioning of new nuclear capacities and introducing small modular reactors for production. electricity with increased operational safety to ensure the stability, reliability and efficiency of power system operation in conditions of increased requirements for its flexibility and environmental requirements for its functioning.
