In this project, the effect of crystallographic orientation, growth method, pH of the lubricant, annealing, on the surface condition and strength characteristics of sapphire and teak were investigated. The results obtained will increase the durability of sapphire products. The task of determining the tribological properties, and the factors that improve performance for wear-resistant products, is especially relevant today for the further expansion of the use of sapphire.
