The goal was to investigate the resistant welding process and to reveal the possibility to detach the resistant welds if any defects are detected, and to make the repeated welds afterwards, restoring the required structure and quality. Investigation methods. The mechanical properties have been investigated by destructive methods. Macro- and micro-structure investigations have been carried out on the polished sections using the light microscopy methods. Thermal behavior of the specimens has been investigated with the thermo-vision equipment. Welding experiment have been carried out using various metal nets as the resistant elements. Complex structural and mechanical investigations with the welded specimens were done. Experiments with detaching of the resistant welds were carried out, using the special extra-heating of the resistant element. Detaching process effect on the structure and properties of the polymeric specimens. The detached welds have been welded repeatedly, and the structure and properties of the new seams has been investigated. Basing on the received results the complex comparative investigations the extra-heating parameters which make possible to detach the seam and to weld it again has been detected. Recommendations for the repair technology for the defective resistant welds using the repeating welding have been developed. The social and economic effect of the work: it is the basis for the development of improved resistant welding technologies for the aerospace and other areas. Achieved results will become the basis for the new scientific knowledge and for the further investigations of the renovation of the structure of the detached seams, and for the development of new technologies of plastics joining and of the simplified repair of various details and units.
