Lashkaryov Institute of semiconductor physics popup.description2 The optimal shapes and size of the dielectric insert in the microwave cavity of the standard EPR X-band spectrometer have been performed. For this purpose, the following requirements were taken into account: 1) the reliability of the maximum enhancement of magnetic field in the minimum possible geometric region sufficient to accommodate the samples; 2) the shift of resonance frequency must be within the range of possible restructuring of the microwave generator. It is found that when used for the manufacture of dielectric insert pre-researched ceramics based on barium titanate (BaTi4O9 + 8.5% ZnO) with dielectric constant 36, a cylindrical shape is optimal with the following geometric sizes: outer diameter 5 mm, inner diameter 2 mm, height 2-4 mm. Experimental verification of the enhancement of the EPR signal from the test sample (MnCl2 powder) using dielectric insert made of such ceramics and the geometric sizes shown that the signal intensity is в 6.5 times larger with the unchanged parameters of the EPR spectrometer. The obtained results confirm the correctness as the main idea of the project about the possibility of such enhancement with the help of dielectric insert, which was made by the V.I. Vernadsky Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry NAS of Ukraine, as well as calculations of its geometrical parameters. Product Description popup.authors Vorona Ihor P. Golovina Iryna S.
