The conducted researches revealed the variability of economically valuable features of nigger in the conditions of the south of Ukraine and identified samples with high level of indicators of economically valuable features.The regularities of the manifestation of the morphological and biochemical characteristics of damask damask in the conditions of the south of Ukraine have been established and genotypes have been identified for further use in the breeding process and as an object of mutational research. The conducted researches allow to recommend samples of damask damask with a high level of indicators of economically valuable for inclusion in the breeding process or as an object of mutational studies. The practical value of the results is the creation of a collection of Nigella damascene L. specimens.
