Their primary tasks were: analysis of the main characteristics, priorities and structure of the “Horizon 2020” program, introduction of an "innovative perspective" on the research to be included in the project, taking into account the existing social challenges in defining the project objectives and establishing links with the relevant thematic NCPs from other countries. The results of the work carried out (analytical, informational and methodological materials, registers of potential participants, etc.) contribute to deepening the cooperation of Ukraine with the EU in the scientific field, facilitate the establishment of links with scientists and innovators in the EU in order to strengthen common competitive advantages, as well as create the foundations of information-methodological support of Ukrainian participants in joint international scientific projects of European research programs. In general, the activities of the National Contact Points, aimed at enhancing the participation of Ukrainian scientists in joint EU funded research projects, have been and remain targeted at increasing the financing of domestic development through external investment.
