Modeling and optimization of the characteristics of two-dimensional and three-dimensional photonic crystals are carried out. Experimental samples of photonic crystals were made, and their selective characteristics were obtained. Models of angular filtration of multimode laser with photonic crystal have been developed. A laboratory model of a multimode wide-aperture laser with a photonic crystal was developed and manufactured, and the increase in the angular brightness was experimentally shown. The theoretical and experimental studies show the prospect of using photonic crystals of the proposed configuration to create microchip lasers with high angular brightness.
