Purpose: To modernize scientific approaches and develop practical guidelines for the effective conservation of the gene pool of rare and useful plants in vitro, ex situ, in situ in the face of environmental change. Research methods: plant reproduction and reproduction studies, field floristic surveys, geobotanical and population studies; phenological observations in natural and model ecosystems; laboratory methods for the study of anatomic-morphological, physiological and biochemical parameters; tissue culture methods in vitro; statistical analysis and mathematical data processing. For the effective conservation of the gene pool of rare and useful plants within the scientific object "Collections of tropical and subtropical plants of the Botanical Garden. Acad. OV Fomin »introductory methods of preservation of certain types of collection are being developed. The features of flowering, fruiting and pollination of representatives of the genus Pelargonium and Pinguicula, germination of Uncarina seeds, phenological phases of the seasonal development of Lemna were established. Features of in vitro cultivation of Salvia hispanica, S.scadiosifolia, Alworthia hybrid, Pelargonium sidoides, Mentha species have been developed. The ability of drought and heat resistance of Crassula, Ginkgo, Magnolia representatives at anatomical and biochemical levels is analyzed. The comparative ultrastructure of the leaves and the correlation analysis of the anatomical parameters of plants of the genus Magnolia in the early stages of ontogeny. Work has begun on the study of phyto-diversity of individual regions of the Kiev region with the aim of creating landscape reserves of local importance ("Naddnipryansky steppes", "Makeevsky dachas").  Product Description popup.authors Haydarzhy Maryna M.
