It is shown that with the widespread using of distributed power sources and disturbing loads in power grids, the problem of electromagnetic compatibility is exacerbated. Reactive power compensation schemes in the industrial power grids are generally operated under significant harmonic current distortions caused by the presence of nonlinear loads in the consumer system. The conditions of operation of such compensation scheme are investigated. The operating modes of the hybrid power plant in the micro grid were investigated and the nature of voltage changes in the grid was analyzed depending on the method of reactive power control of the hybrid power plant wind generators. The conditions of optimal reactive power control in such networks are shown. The features of transients in the low voltage grid caused by switchings in the industrial external power grid with adjustable speed drives are investigated. It is shown that during these transients can cause dangerous overvoltages for converters of the adjustable speed drives.
