Kukhar Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry and Petrochemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 The main methods of synthesis of fulleroid-type carbon spherical nanoclusters are considered; advantages and disadvantages of these methods are noted; the differences in size and structure of fulleroids obtained by different methods are outlined. Modern ideas about possible mechanisms of formation of three-dimensional carbon nanosized objects are presented. It was experimentally synthesized in gram quantities of nanoparticles of carbonic fulleroids. The influence of microquantitative additives of synthesized carbon nanoclusters on the change of macro characteristics of ethanol solutions was investigated. Extreme course of dependence of carrying capacity of ethanol solutions on the concentration of synthesized nanosized fulleroids is revealed. Modeled metal complexes were synthesized using Schiff bases as ligands. The screening of the influence of the synthesized model compounds on the rate of processes of liquid-phase oxidation of organic substances with molecular oxygen has been carried out.
